CHURCH SHOOTINGS

The following events happened on the same day - today in fact...

THE FIRST

ARVADA, Colo. - A gunman opened fire in a training center dormitory for young Christian missionaries early Sunday after being told he couldn't spend the night, killing two of the center's staff members and wounding two others.

More than 12 hours later, a gunman opened fire in the parking lot of a large Colorado Springs church on Sunday, striking four people, authorities said. Colorado Springs is about 70 miles away from Arvada.

THE SECOND

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A gunman killed one person and wounded four others before being shot dead by a security guard at a busy Colorado Springs megachurch on Sunday, authorities said.
The shooter, who was not identified, was shot dead in the parking lot by a church security guard, Colorado Springs police chief Richard Myers said at a news conference.

New Life was founded by the Rev. Ted Haggard, who was fired last year after a former male prostitute alleged he had a three-year cash-for-sex relationship with him. Haggard, then the president of the National Association of Evangelicals, admitted committing undisclosed "sexual immorality."

I don't even know how to respond to your comment, except to say that you must need prayer.
The actions of one person don't define the group. How sad for you that you don't have a relationship with God.
Just because people go to church, or even lead a church doesn't mean they never have normal feelings and temptations. Just because people know right from wrong doesn't mean they will always do right.
Our pastor always says "Church isn't a museum for saints, it's a hospital for sinners". We attend church to heal and to help others heal. We cant lose sight of the fact that people are people.
I attended service yesterday at a church in the inner city, where the poor and homeless are given a bag of groceries and a hot meal when they attend. No one wants anything from these people, other than to give them encouragement and to help them to survive. Therer were people there who looked as if they had not had a scrub in a long time, and who smelled as if they had just come from the bar. One man passed out in the back and responded "I'm just drunk" when someone asked him if he was alright.
You are right, the devil's influence is everywhere, even in the churches, but if you read the word of God, you will know that He is the one who can save us from this, and that He sent His son to give us comfort and salvation.
Do you celebrate Christmas? If so, why? If you believe there is no God, there is no point.
